Me: Thank you!! I really needed that.

I felt better, but the tears still won’t seem to stop rolling down my face. Someone knocking on the door brought me out of my thoughts. By the fourth knock I knew it was Tanee because I heard her keys jingle as she tried to unlock the door the same time as I was. Once she was in I slide down the door in tears. Why am I still crying? I didn’t have the answer to that question. Maybe I just needed to get it all out and that is exactly what Tanee let me do. She held me while I cried all my frustration, pain, and sadness out on her shoulder. See, that’s what friends, or should I say sisters, are for. After I pulled myself together, Tanee helped me to the couch and went to find something to cook. The girl was bad in the kitchen with some pots and pans. Like the old folks say “She put her foot in it.” Well they were talking about Tanee because she puts her foot in whatever she cooks. She was in the kitchen whipping up some fried chicken gizzards, poor man spaghetti, spicy just like I like it, steamed broccoli, and garlic bread. She made some sugar diabetic sweet tea, her tea is so sweet it sends you into a sugar coma. For dessert she made some Hershey’s milk chocolate filled cupcakes. These were some of my favorites foods to make me feel better.
